On 19 November 1794, the children heirs of James Buffinton late of Salem, in consideration of £150, conveyed to their father-in-law Daniel Frye interest in the real estate in Salem from their late father’s estate. These heirs of James Buffinton were James Buffinton,Prudence Tucker, Ebenezer and Sally Mann, and Elijah and Hannah Briggs. On 18 May 1797, Betsey Buffinton of Salem, in consideration of one hundred dollars,quitclaimed her rights to the real estate of her late father James Buffinton including interest in the dower of her mother Prudence Frye.[1]
