Priscilla Holt was the daughter of Sergeant Oliver Holt and Hannah Russell of the Scotland District of Andover. Oliver Holt was a blacksmith. Priscilla was the granddaughter of Henry Holt and Sarah Ballard. She was the great granddaughter of Nicholas Holt of Romsey, England. Nicholas Holt sailed from Southampton, England in April, 1635 on the ship “James” of London. Nicholas Holt arrived in Newbury in June, 1635 and later to Andover, Massachusetts.
