In April of 1888 Jake, Levi, Chris, George, and Louis, established the home ranch on Wolf Creek near Denton, Montana. It grew to be one of the largest sheep ranches in the area. The Knerr brothers were a self sufficient family, with their own freight line, their own shearing crews, and they supplied other settlers with staples.Marriage
