Death
Private Knerr was killed during World War II after parachuting to the ground during the Battle of the Bulge. He received a Purple Heart. Glenn Lewis "Manny" Knerr served in the 506th Parachute Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army.Endnotes
