Individual Details
Ellen Jane BURLEY
(25 Apr 1855 - 24 Jan 1926)
In the 1900 Census she is living on a farm with her husband and family in Gardner, Cass County, North Dakota. She immigrated to America in 1882 and was married 23 years and mother of nine children all of whom were living and her parents were born in Canada.
In the 1910 Census she is living in Gardner with three of her children; Frank, Elizabeth, and Sarah. Apparently after the 1900 Census and her husband's death shortly thereafter, the family moves to Canada and then back to North Dakota as the 1910 Census indicates the three children were born in North Dakota but immigrated to America in 1907. Although her husband is passed away this census shows Ellen as single but then in the 1920 Census it indicates she is widowed.
In the 1920 Census she is living in Hunter, Cass County, North Dakota with her children Frank and Sarah. It indicates she immigrated in 1883 and became naturalized in 1886.
