Funeral of the Late Reuben W. Logan This Afternoon.
__The remains of the late Reuben W. Logan, who passed away on Tuesday morning, were this afternoon laid at rest in Linwood cemetery, the funeral services being held at the house, Rev. F. L. Loveland officiating. A large number of friends paid their last respects to the deceased and formed the funeral cortege which accompanied the remains to their last resting place.
__R. W. Logan was born in DeKalb county, Illinois, October 5, 1856, removing with his parents to Chamaign, Ill., when 13 - years of age. Later he removed to LeFox, Ill., where he spent three years in charge of a successful creamery business and cheese factory, removing thence to Minneapolis, where, on September 16, 1885, he was united in marriage to Miss Tillie Lucks, who with two children survives him. Mr. Logan was identified with J. J. Lucks & Sons of Minneapolis for six years, then for a short time with Messrs. Dunham & Johnson of the same city, when he removed to this city to accept a postion with the American Cereal company, in May 1891. Besides the wife and children the deceased is survived by two brothers, one sister and an aged mother.
__The funeral services were under the auspices of Cedar Rapids lodge No. 141, I. O. O. F. With the employes of the immense institution in which he was employed and with a large circle of friends Mr. Logan was a prime favorite. Kind, generous, liberal and intelligent, Mr. Logan was respected by all who knew him, and his loss will be keenly felt by all; who will sympathize with the bereaved family.
