Robert L. (Kelly) Deleen, former resident of North Hudson, died at his home in St. Paul on Wednesday, July 13, after only a few days illness. Funeral services were held at the Wulff Mortuary in St. Paul on Friday, July 15. Interment was in the Willow River cemetery in Hudson. Those from North Hudson who were at the mortuary Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Williamson, Ed Lyksett and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Axt. James Williamson and Mr. and Mrs. Axt attended the services on Friday.
Mr. Deleen, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Deleen, was born in North Hudson on May 23, 1889. He was educated in the North Hudson grade school and graduated from the Hudson High in 1906. His parents owned and operated the North Hudson Hotel until 1909 when the family moved to St. Paul where he continued to make his home.
In 1944 he was married to Lorraine Axt, daughter of Leo Axt of North Hudson. His friednly smile and kindly ways made many true friends who were shocked at the news of his sudden death.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Arthur and William; and one sister, Mrs. Willis Breen.
