Ewald C. Reichow, 73 years old and a resident of Lakeland, Minnesota for a half century, died early Monday morning, February 26. Mr. Reichow was born in Woodbury township on February 16, 1878, the son of Carland Hulda Reichow. He was married to Esther Brunner on June 20, 1907 at Lakeland. He farmed in that vicinity and was employed by the canning factory at Lakeland up until a few years ago when ill health forced him to retire.
He is survived by his wife, Esther; one brother, Rudolph of Woodbury, Minnesota; several nieces and nephews.
His body lay in state at the Jasper Funeral Home until 12:30 o'clock Wednesday noon when the remains were taken to the Congregational church at Lakeland, where services were held at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Mervin Johnson officiating. During the services George Smart sang two songs accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Laverne Miller. Burial was made in the Lakeland cemetery. The pallbearers, all nephews of the deceased were: Edwin, Melvin and Harry Reichow, Milton Hess, Warren Schaar and Milford Brunner.
