Dennis A. Miller, age 69 of North Hudson WI, died on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 at United Hospital in Saint Paul MN.
Dennis A. Miller, age 69 of North Hudson, WI, died on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at United Hospital in Saint Paul, MN. Dennis was born on October 8, 1939 in Red Wing, MN to Alvin Henry and Lillian Emma (Steffenhagen) Miller. Dennis attended schools in Red Wing and graduated from Red Wing High School. Dennis was married to Jean Katherine Beaudry on August 31, 1959. Their union in marriage was blessed with a daughter, Patricia. Dennis was self-employed as a contractor in the Hudson area. He enjoyed using his carpentry and woodworking skills, playing cards and cribbage with family and friends, snowmobiling, traveling to Rhode Island and Arizona to visit relatives, and listening to country music, especially Merle Haggard and The Statler Brothers. Besides being a loving husband, father, and "Pa" to his granddaughter, Dennis will be remembered for being the kind of person who enjoyed a good meal with his family, with many jokes and many stories. Dennis is survived by his daughter Patricia (Chuck) Giffen; granddaughter Tori Miller; loving companion and fiancée JoAnn Neubarth; siblings James (Bev), Leonard (Carol), Ruth (Doug) Dankers, Jean (Bob) Bateman, and Elaine (Dan) Ahern; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; his parents, Alvin and Lillian; his parents-in-law, Eugene and Margaret Beaudry; close aunt and uncle, Bill and Lilly Diercks.
Mass of Christian Burial for Dennis Miller will be held at 11AM MONDAY, September 21st at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hudson. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to mass at church, and from 4-8PM SUNDAY at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 South 11th Street, Hudson, WI. Interment at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Hudson. Arrangements have been entrusted to the O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson, WI. 715-386-3725
