Martell Farmer Takes Own Life in Church
Arnold Bang, 65 year old farmer, took his own life shortly after noon Sunday. Coroner Hoyer of Ellsworth indicated that despondency due to ill health was responsible for the act.
The body of Mr. Bang was discovered in the Martell Lutheran church, of which he was a member, about 12:45 Sunday. Apparently he had taken his life shortly after the morning service.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Friday from the Hoyer Mortuary, Ellsworth, and burial will be in the Martell cemetery with the Rev. Jothen officiating.
Mr. Bang is survived by his wife, Hilda. There were no children.
