Evelyn Lenore Langness Friday, September 23, 2005 July 7, 1915 - Sept. 8, 2005 Evelyn Lenora Langness, age 90, of New Richmond, died on Thursday September 8, 2005 at the Signet Health & Rehab Center. She was born in Deronda, on July 7, 1915 to Peter and Clara (Olson) Larson. Evelyn married Merriell Emmett Langness on Oct. 15, 1933 in Burkhardt. Besides her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Merriell, 4 brothers, Lloyd and his wife Pearl, Elmer, Harley and his wife Ruth, Vernell and his wife Ione, 1 sister Pearl, son-in-law Richard Lamson, 4 grandchildren, Jim Swenson, Bryon Forrest, and Langness twins. She is survived by 3 sons Emmett (Margaret) Langness of New Richmond, Paul (Nancy) Langness of Frederic, Neal (Arlyce) Langness of Amery, 3 daughters, Elaine (Dennis Winslow) Langness of Webster, Neoma (Dale) Swenson, Nila (Lynn) Forrest of New Richmond, 20 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Visitation was held Sunday, Sept. 11th at First Lutheran Church in New Richmond. Funeral services were Monday at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry Jorstad officiating. Music was provided by organist Kathy Wettig and vocalist Jeri Ann Talmage. Pallbearers were Evelyn’s children and honorary pallbearers were all her grandchildren. Interment was in the Boardman Cemetery. Beebe Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
