Henry Gustavus Butterfield, 76, Centralia, died in a Centrailia hospital Saturday.
He was born. Oct. 18,, 1898, at Bunker Creek and was a lifetime resident of Lewis County. His parents were pioneers in the Bunker Creek area, moving there in 1883. Mr. Butterfield had lived in Centralia since 1921 and was a logger and owner of Butterfield Pole Yards from 1941 to 1960. He was a member of Fords Prairie Grange.
He is survived by one son, Don K. Butterfield, New York City; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Dunisch, River Pines, Calif.; one brother, Wyman Butterfield, Longview; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Rupert, Centralia, and Mrs. Eve Webster, Medford, Ore., seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, 1 p.m. at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. William C. Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park, Centralia.
Pallbears will be Ben Butterfield, Bruce Butterfield, David Butterfield, Larry Butterfield, Melvin Butterfield, Jr. and Gene Sherwood.
