John's brother died after a bad month--stroke, then recovering and then a fall and complete paralysis, then death--which I am sure he welcomed. He was 82 and ready. Then his sister, whom I've been close to for years, had her foot amputated..and she's about 74. He lived in Minneapolis and she lived in California..."
