Frank Krueger, 75, of 967 Hazel St., River Falls, a former Hudson businessman, died suddenly Tuesday, February 3, at United Hospital in St. Paul. He had been transferred there from River Falls Area Hospital on Monday evening.
He was born Oct. 16, 1911, in Menomonie, to Fred and Irene Kelly Krueger and was educated in Menomonie and Hudson schools. He graduated in 1931 from Hudson High School.
He was married in St. Paul on Oct. 12, 1947, to Anna Anderson, who survives him.
Mr. Krueger was employed by Helmer Hellum at the A & P Store in Hudson from 1945 to 1959. In 1959 they formed a partnership and renamed the busness H & K Food Market, which they operated until 1967, when Mr. Krueger sold his interest to Mr. Hellum.
The Kruegers retired to Arizona but in 1973 they moved to River Falls, where he was employed part time at the Erickson supermarket.
He served for two years with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of Hudson United Methodist Church and had been a member of V.f.W. Post 2115 since 1946.
The body was cremated prior to a private burial service. O'Connell Valley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
