Ruth A. Thompson of Star Prairie died Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Signet Health and Rehabilitation Center in New Richmond. She was born in Farmington Township July 24, 1926 to Syverin and Agnes (Christopherson) Bergseng. She married Dale Thompson on Dec. 14, 1944 in Stillwater, Minn.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dale. She is survived by three sons; Richard (Janice), Allen (Judy) of Osceola, Noland (Sherry) of Dresser; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at West Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Rex Brandt officiating. Music was provided by Diane Kammerud. Pallbearers were David Wistrom, Tim Grunow, Kevin and Tanner Dobberschutz, Dan Connelly, Jim McMahon and Brian Thompson. Interment was in the church cemetery.
