Baldwin Bulletin, 12 Jun 1926, p1
Mrs. F. C. Peters
Nee Ernestine Dahms was born in Germany, May 4, 1868, and died at the Baldwin hospital 11 a.m., June 2nd, 1925, thus making her fifty years and twenty-nine days of age.
Her death resulted from a complicated infection caused by a felon on her thumb, and was a severe shock to her family and friends, as she had always been a woman of exceptional health.
Mrs. Peters came to America with her parents and elder brother when she was only two years of age and lived with her family at different places in Southeastern Wisconsin, spending the larger portion of her girlhood days in Milwaukee. Later on, her home was on a farm east of Woodville where on January 1st, 1896 she was married to Fred Peters.
During the following fourteen years Mr. and Mrs. Peters made their home in Minneapolis, where Mr. Peters was employed by the Street Railway company in the capacity of motorman.
In the year 1910 they moved to the Peters' farm north of Baldwin, which farm is the original Peters homestead, where they have since continued to reside.
Mrs. Peters leaves to mourn her untimely death, her immediate family, consisting of Mr. Peters and three sons, Clarence, Lawrence and Fred, also her aged mother, three sisters, Mrs. Joe Schwalen of Minneapolis, Mrs. Minnie Frantz of Woodville and Mrs. John Anderson; also three brothers, Williams of Wilson, Herman of Roberts, and Christ of Mukwenago, and a host of friends and neighbors who will miss her kindly and thoughtful ways and pleasing personality.
Mrs. Peters was baptised in the German Lutheran church at an early age, and while not directly identified with the church, has always been known for her kindly Christian character.
The funeral services were held on Thursday at one-thirty o'clock from the Baldwin Presbyterian chuch and interment made in the local cemetery.
