Apparent Suicide Discovered by Jogger
Shortly before 8 a.m. Monday morning, the dead body of Hudson native, Wawrence B. Williamson, was discovered in his car by a jogger on Trout Brook Road. Indications are that he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
According to Sheriff Ralph Bader, the 83-year-old Williamson appeared to have been dead since late Sunday afternoon. His car, a brown Oldsmobile, had been seen parked in the area on Sunday evening by the jogger who reported the body, but it appeared unoccupied to him at that time.
Williamson was living in Stillwater at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Helga, and two children, Chloe Ramacier, St. Paul and Lawrence P. Williamson, Hudson.

Lawrence Bleier Williamson, 82, of Bayport, a former resident of Hudson, died in Hudson Sunday, March 3.
He was born Aug. 30, 1908, in North Hudson, the son of Lawrence and Pauline (Bleier) Williamson.. He attended local schools and graduated from Hudson High School in 1926, where he played both football and basketball.
During his working career he was employed by Sanitary Ice Company, CStPM&O Railroad (known as the Omaha) and finally at Nor-Lake until he took retirement.
He was married July 20, 1935 to Ruth G. Curran who died in 1977.
After his first wife's death, he was married in Stillwater, Sept. 3, 1978, to Helga (Staberg) Sockness.
During his entire life he was an active sportsman, enjoying huntng and fishing, both summer and winter. He was a substanial supporter and officer of the St. Croix Valley Rod and Gun Club, of which he was a life member. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited, Inc.
Surviving are his wife, Helga; a daughter Chloe Ramacier (Mrs. Patrick J.) of St. Paul; a son, Lawrence P. Williamson, of 352 Willow Lane, Hudson; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a brother, Dr. Harry Williamson of Minneapolis.
Memorial services were at O'Connell's Valley Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerard Willger of St. Patrick's Catholc Chuch and the Rev. David Crow of First Presbyterian officiating. Interment was private.
