The marriage record, 23 November 1831, Neu Altmansdorf, for Joseph Lux, a stellermesiter (master cartwright or wheelwright) from Neu Altmansdorf, to Francisca, the daughter of farmer Franz Hauer. The wedding was performed by the church priest. The bridegroom was age 30; the bride was age 19. The death record, 15 July 1844, for sattler (saddler) Joseph Lux, who died of consumption and was in his 40th year.}

In this church was christened a legitimate son of free cottager and harnessmaker Josef Lux, from here, and of his wife Franziska, nee Hauer, born on the 27th of March, in the presence of the farmer's daughter Johanne Hauer, the estate owner Franz Krause and the farmer Gottlob Hubner from here, by pastor Langer. He received the name Josef.
1833, the 13th October. In this church was christened a legitimate daughter of free cottager and harnessmaker Josef Lux, from here, of his wife Franziska, nee Hauer, born on the 9th of the month, in the presence of the maiden and farmer's daughter Johanne Hauer, and then Renate, wife of the farmer Gottlob Huber, and the estate owner son bachelor Franz Krause, all from here, by pastor Langer. She received the name Anna.
1835, the 13th September. In this church was christened a legitimate daughter of harnessmaker Josef Lux, from here, and of his wife Franziska, nee Hauer, born on the 6th of the month, in the presence of the bachelor Franz Krause, the farmer's maiden daughter Johanne Hauer, and the farmer's wife Renate Huber, by chaplain Boese from Liebenau. She received the name Augusta.
1838, the 22nd February was christened a legitimate daughter of free cottager harnessmaker Josef Lux, from here, and of his wife Franziska, nee Hauer, born on the 17th of the month, in the presence of the farmer's wife Renate Hubner, the farmer's daughter maiden Johanne Hauer, and the farmer's son, bachelor Franz Krause, from here, by pastor W. Nowack. She received the name of Theresie.
1839, the 11th of September. In this church was christened a legitimate daughter of harnessmaker Josef Lux, from here, and of his wife Franziska, nee Hauer, born on the 6th of the month, in the presence of the farmer's wife Renate Hubner, the farmer's son, bachelor Franz Krause, the small farm owner, Amand F... from Neu NoBen, by pastor W. Nowack. She received the name Johanna.
1842, the 7th of September, was christened a legitimate daughter of free cottage harnessmaker Josef Lux, from here, and of his wife Franziska, nee Hauer, born on the 4th of the month, in the presence of the farmer's wife Ernestine Krause from Jedlitz, the farmer's son, the farmer's wife Renate Hubner, from here, bschelor Franz Krause, the harnessmaker Franz Feicke from Neu NoBen, by pastor W. Nowack. She received the name of Franziska.
1866, on the 23 January was married the resident shoemaker, bachelor, Robert Freund, illegitimate son of the here married, small farm owner, Theresia Cust? with Augusta, maiden daughter of the here deceased harnessmaker Josef Lux. Groom 28, bride 29 years old. Witnesses: community attendant Alois Schreiber, brewery worker Theresia Scharf.}
After the death of Joseph Lux in 1844, Francisca married, in 1845, the Sattler (saddler) and journeyman, Albert Karras, son of the deceased Freistellenbesitzer Joseph Karras. The bridegroom was 26 and the bride was 32.
Three children were born of this marriage: a Tochterlein (little daughter) born 29 December 1845 named Maria; a son Robert on 19 September 1847; and a son Albert on 10 March 1852.
Francisca's husband Albert, Sattlermeister (a master saddler), died 2 March 1878 at age 57.}

1. On November 23, 1831 in the local parish [of Neu Altmannsdorf], Joseph Lux, single, local free cottager and Stellermeister [Ruth Freehling note: "Stellermeister" is typed and appears to be misspelled. He might be an overseer or boss of a place. If he is a master "Stellmacher", then he is a master wheelwright.], and the single Francisca, legitimate daughter of Franz Hauer, local independent [RF: free] farmer and juror, were married. The marriage was performed by Pastor Langer. The bridegroom 30, the bride 19 years old. Witnesses were: Ernst Krause, the free holder of an estate; Johann Dunsch [RF: "Joann Dunsch Beder and Kirchenvorstehr" is typed. There should be a comma after his name, Johann Dunsch, Beder. Beder appears to be misspelled. So is Johann's name; the "h" is missing.] and church elder.
2. On July 15, 1844 Joseph Lux, harness-maker and free cottager, was buried. He died on July 11th this month from consumption [TB] at the age of 40.
3. On Arpil 22, 1845 harness-maker and bachelor, Albert Karras, son of the deceased occupant exempt from ownership Joseph Karras or Hertwigswalde, and the local Francisca Lux, widow of harness-maker and free cottager, were married. The bridegroom was 26, the bride 32 years old. Witnesses: George Beck and Anton Schneider. Married by Pastor Nowack.
4. On January 1, 1846, Pastor Nowack baptized the daughter named Maria, born December 29, 1845, to free cottager and harness-maker, Albert Karras and his wife, Franziska nee Hauer. Godparents: Farmer Franz Krause of Zedlitz; local farmer Gottlob Hüber, Evangelical Lutheran; and gardner's wife Johanna Feicke of Neu-Nossen.
5. On September 19, 1847, Pastor Nowack baptized the son named Robert, born the 17th of this month, to harness-maker and free cottager Albert Karras, and his wife, Franziska nee Hauer. Godparents: Farmer's wife, Ernestine Krause of Zedlitz; farmer's wife Renata Hübner; and local
