Cause of death was suicide; Occupation was farmer and elevator operator; Religion was Roman Catholic; Baptismal Name: Johannes Otto Magney. Moved to North Dakota after marriage and homesteaded. They farmed for seven years, then moved into Norma where Otto operated the grain elevator. Attended River Falls Normal School in River Falls, Wisconsin, 1898-1900. He was quite an athlete, playing basketball (forward) and baseball (second base).
