James W. Hilton, 69, died Thursday evening last week at the local hospital.
Mr. Hilton was born May 18, 1889, in Las Animas, Colorado, and ranched in
Colorado during his younger years. Later he was engaged in the contracting
business throughout the west with his father and brother. He was a veteran of
World War I.
In 1931 he bought a ranch on the Big Dry east of Jordan where he resided until
his death. In 1946 he was married to Mrs. Gladys Trudeau.
Survivors include his wife; two step-children, Mrs. Alfred Sensiba of Yuba
City, Calif. and Lawrence Trudeau of Billings; and a sister, Mrs. Harvey Slack
and a brother J.E. Hilton, both of Miles City.
Burial was in the family plot in Custer County cemetery.
