Funeral Services for Mrs. Ellen Montbriand
Funeral services were held in St. Anne's Catholic church for Mrs. Ellen Montbriand, at 8:30 o'clock Saturday morning, July 8, with Father John T. Rivard officiating. The Requiem high mass was sung by A.J. Vanasse and Wilford Parnell. Interment was in St. Anne's cemetery.
Mrs. Montbriand died at her home near Bass Lake early Thursday morning, July 6, after a short illness.
She was born in St. Croix county, near Burkhardt, Wis., on July 26, 1866, and spent her entire life in St. Croix county. For the past three years she has been making her home with her son, Ray Montbriand.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fabian Krattley of St. Joe township; two sons, Matthew of San Francisco, Calif., and Ray of Bass Lake; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
