I am the youngest of eight children. I was born on December 28, 1931 at home
on James Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota. At the age of three months we moved
to Columbia Heights, and at the age of 14 years my parents and I moved to a
farm near Fish Lake, four miles west of Harris.

I graduated from North Branch High School. In 1952 I was drafted into the
Army. After basic training I was sent to Korea for eleven months and then
returned to the States.

In February, 1954, I met Karin Hawkinson. We were married January 29, 1955.
We have resided at the same address in Harris for all 40 years of our marriage.

I worked at Federal Cartridge Corp. in Anoka for 30 years. I retired in 1988
at age of 57 and am enjoying traveling, gardening, fishing and woodworking.
