Dawn Marie Bottolfson was born on Sept. 8, 1963 in St. Croix Falls, the daughter of Harold and Rose Turner. She
grew up in the Amery area and attended Amery Schools. On Sept. 25, 1982 she was united in marriage to Brian Bottolfson at her mother's house in Deronda. They made their home in Amery and to this union two children were bom.
She went to New Richmond to receive training to be a CNA. She worked at Willow Ridge in Amery for a short time before taking a job at Golden. Age Manor where she worked for almost 10 years.
Dawn enjoyed the outdoors and all it had to offer. She enjoyed fishing and watching the loons on the lake. She
enjoyed barbecuing with family and friends.
She was a cancer survivor of 18 years, but this past year she has battled a reoccurrence. Dawn died at her home on Sunday morning Jan. 15, 2006 at the age of 42 years. She was preceded in death by her parents. Left to mourn are
her husband Brian, son Kyle and daughter Ashley. She also leaves sisters Shirley Gumke (Linda Jensen), Kimberly
Ploszay (Victor) and Robin Turner; brother Dennis Gumke (Anita) as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006 at 4 p.m. at West Immanuel Lutheran Church in Amery
with the Rev. Eugene Wekander officiating. Organist was Diane Kammerud. The Williamson Funeral Home in Amery assisted the family with arrangements
