Robert West Keyes, 81, of Arlington, Texas, a former Hudson resident, dued Tuesday, Sept. 1, at a hospital in Mansfield, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Cumberland, with burial in the church cemetery.
He was born in Cumberland, June 16, 1917, the son of Charles and Elsie (West) Keyes.
During his working career he held managerial positions at Stokley Van Camp Companies in both Cumberland and Lakeland, Brown & Bigelow in St. Paul and retired from United Hospitals in St. Paul.
From 1946 to 1961, he and his family lived in Hudson, where his daughters attended and graduated from Hudson High School and his wife was employed at Harding's Store for a number of years.
After his retirement in 1984 he and his wife moved to Arlington.
He enjoyed being a good father and grandfather, was an exceptional golfer, a fisherman, a hunter and in his earlier years, a talented musician.
Survivors are his wife of 60 years, the former Anne R. DeNucci, of Arlington; two daughtes, Judith Gartmann of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Meme (Richard) Larson of Arlington; a sister, Patricia Tappon of Cumberland; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceeding him in death were his parents, a brother, John Keyes, and a sister, Marian Mayer, both formerly of Cumberland.
