Emil H. Christianson, 72, who died Jan. 23 at Hudson Memorial hospital after a 16 month illness, was born in Colfax, April 25, 1906.
He attended school in Colfax and was graduated from Colfax high school.
During World War II he was employed by the government in the Aleutian Islands. In 1955 he moved to Hudson where he was employed by the Hudson school system as custodian until July 1971 when he retired.
He is survived by his widow, the former Alice Engstrom Hoyer; a sister, Mrs. Juel Amundson of Seattle, Wash.; and four children by a previous marriage: Larry of Loveland, Ohio, Daniel of St. Paul, Mrs. Donald Johnson (Beverly) of Knapp and Mrs. Carl Norden (Gail) of North Hudson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Interment was in Evergreen cemetery at Colfax.
