Born in Maryland. Died in King & Queen Co. VA. Lucy was the daughter of Cheney & Elizabeth Leamon Gatewood. Known as Captain Dew, he was the founder of Dewsville VA. He fought in the Revolutionary War in 1780 and 1781.
