James R. Pigg, a grandson adopted by John Reubin Dew withfull family rights of a son. Name changed by Legislature of State of MS on 18 Feb 1851. Enlisted in Confederate Army on 15 Feb 1863. Assigned to Company H 14th Regiment of MS Volunteers. Killed on skirmish line near Atlanta GA on 18 Aug 1864.
