William is buried at the Confederate Cemetery in Raleigh NC.This cemetery is adjacent to the large Oakwood Cemetery. Williams grave has a military monument standing and what appears to be an original gravestone lying flat on the ground. William served in Company E, 2nd NC Cavalry, CSA.
