James born in Onslow Co. NC. Married 9 Feb 1929. Served inthe US Coast Guard from 1919-1947. Worked with General Dynamics Electric Boat Co. until 1966. He helped to build the USS Nautilus, our first nuclear powered submarine. They lived in Niantic CT. James is buried in Cedar Grove cemetery in Niantic.
