The 4th of aprill 1722 I Joseph Stetson Senr. of Scittuate In yeCounty of Plymouth In New: England being aged & weak of Body but ofSound disposing mind & memory & being desirous to settle thingsIn order before I dye & do therefore make & declare this to bemy last Will & Testament In manner & Form as followeth:
Item I give to my beloved wife Prudence Stetson, my best Bed & Furniture.
Item, I give to my Son Joseph Stetson ten Pounds In money
Item, I give to Prudence Leach fourty Pounds In money whereof I have Paid Her four Pounds five Shillings:
Item I give & Bequeath to my daughter Hannah Lincoln ten Shillingsin money which with what She & Her Husband hath Received amounts tofourty Pounds.
Item: I give & Bequeath to my daughter Lois Foord ten Shillings Inmoney with which what She & Her Husband hath Received amounts tofourty Pounds.
Item: I give & Bequeath unto my Son Robert Stetson five ShillingsIn money which with what I gave him In ye Price of ye Peice of Land ISold him is his full Portion as to ye Rest of my Children
Item, I give & Bequeath to my Son Samuel Stetson five Shillings Inmoney which with what I gave him In ye Price of ye Land That I sold himto his full Portion as to ye Rest of my Children.
Item, I give & Bequeath to my Grand Children to each of them ten Shillings a Peice.
Item, I give & Bequeath to my great Grand Children five shillings a Peice In money.
Item, I give & Bequeath to my daughter Desire Silvester fourty Pounds in money.
Item, my debts & funeral Charges being Paid I hereby order yeResidue of my Estate to be Equally divided among my four Daughters LoisPrudence Desire & Hannah always & It is ye true Intent of thismy Last will & Testament that If any of ye Legetees be unsatisfiedwith this my will & what I have herein given them that then theyShall have but five Shillings a Peice
I nominate my Son Samuel Stetson & Richard Silvester to be JoyntExecutors of this my last will & Testament & likewise my mind& will is that ye Legatees above mentioned shall be Paid by myExecutors when ye Bond from my Son Robert to my self Shall be due whichwill be due ye year one thousand Seven Hundred twenty & Eight.

The will of Joseph S[t]etson lateof Scittuate In ye County of Plymouth aforesd. Decd. To these Presentswas Proved approved & allowed who Having while he lived & at yetime of His Death goods Chattels Rights & Credits In ye Countyaforesd. and ye Probate of ye sd. will & Power of Com(m)ttingadministration of all Singular ye goods Chattels Rights & Creditsof ye sd decd. and alsow Hearin Examining & allowing ye accompt(obsolete for "account") of ye Same by virtue thereof appertaining untome. The administration of all & Singular ye goods Chattels Rights& Credits of ye Sd. Decd. & His Will In any manner concerningis hereby com(m)itted unto Samuel Stetson ye Son of ye sd.
