built their home on the west side of Aquia Creek and called it Woodstock.

Event

Captain George Brent, son of George and Marianna, was in Virginia by 1670 and possibly earlier. He was sent to his Uncle Giles in Virginia to “learn how to live.”

Death

George Brent died in 1699 and is buried in the old Aquia cemetery which is located near the spot where the first Woodstock home was built. His wives, Elizabeth and Mary, are buried on either side of him.
