William Nichols sold land on 10/12/1717 in Prince George County to" Anthony Drayne" for 33 pounds described as " Tract of land whereon William Nichols dwelleth, part of Brock Hall situated on east side of Collinton Branch in Prince George County, aforesaid, given and bequeathed to said Mary Nichols in last will and testament of her late grandfather, Edward Brock, deceased, together with all houses and dwellings, during the term of the natural life of him the said William Nichols and Mary, his wife and the longest liver of them yielding and paying therefore yearly rent of a pepper corn at the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel if the same shall be lawfully demanded." Captain Edward Brock lived as a neighbor of the DRANES & in 1712 he made his will leaving "BROCK HALL" to his granddaughter, Mary Nichols.That was the same land bought by " Anthony Drane".
