WILL OF ENOCH BLACKLEDGEWill Book 161, No. 1044
Dated 26 Jul 1830
I Enoch Blackledge of the Township of Jefferson and the County of Green
considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and
memory blessed be the almighty God for the same do make and publish this my
last will and testament in the manner and form following
First I will and positive order that all of my Just debts as shall be owing at my death together with my funeral expences and all charges touching the proving of or otherwise concerning this my last will and Testament shall in the first place out of my personaly estate and effects be fully paid and satisfied.
Item second I will and bequeath to my son John Blackledge all of the money
which I have heretofore paid for him with the adition of one dollar to him his heirs and assigns forever as full, share and part of my real and personaly estate. I also will and positive that my son James Blackledge shall have and posess the tract of land which the said James now live on situate in Columbiana County and state of Ohio to him his heirs and assigns forever and I also will and bequeth unto my son Thomas Blackledge all the tract of land it being one quarter of section which the said Thomas now lives on by him the said Thomas paying to my executors the sum of forty Dollars within two years from my death without interest to him his heirs and assigns forever lying and being in Colunbiana County State of Ohio and I will be possitive order that my executors after my death shall proceed aprase and sell all of my personly property as the law directs and colect all of my Just debts and all monies which I may be possessed of at my death and pay the proceeds of the same Together with the forty Dollars before mentioned in the following manner and to whom namely three daughters, Mary Richardson, Margaret Richardson and Martha Baker also my son William Blackledge in equal shares agreeable as they have heretofore receved their father(?) and I also will and bequeath to my son Levi Blackledge my old homestead plantation which I now live on adjoining land of Levi Burson William Blackledge and Edward Burson to him his heirs and assigns forever by him the said Levi Blackledge honestly and reasonably providing for me the Testator a sufice living of all kinds suitable to the acomdations of old age for during my natural lifetime and shall pay out of his own monies to my three daughters before named eighty four dollars within two years after my death without interest and I further order that my son Levi for the above devise shall pay all of my funeral expense out of his own monies further I do authorize nominate and apoint my son Levi Blackledge and my son-in-law Joseph Baker my sole executor to this my last will and testament.

Before me George Hoskinson Register for the probate of wills and granting
letters of administration in and for said County this day came Thomas Burson,
Esq. And John Young the two __________witnesses to the within and foregaoing
instrument of writing and upon their solem oaths sayeth that they were present and saw and heard the within names Testatr sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the within instrument of writing as his last will and Testament and that at the time of doing thereof he was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding according to the best of their knowledge observation and belief.
