LOUDOUN COUNTY DEEDS 1792-1793pp. 119-121 THIS INDENTURE made the 26th day of February in year of our Lord Seventeen
hundred & ninety two Between SOLOMON HARDY of Loudoun County of one part & WILLIAM ELLZEY JUNIOR of the County aforesaid of other part; Whereas WILLIAM GRAYSON, late of County of PRINCE WILLIAM deceased, in his lifetime to wit on the ninth day of October Seventeen hundred & Seventy by this Indenture of Lease for the consideration therein expressed did demise grant & to farm let unto SOLOMON HARDY one parcel of land containing One hundred & Eight acres in County of Loudoun, To have & to hold said One hundred & Eight acres of land with the appurtenances unto SOLOMAN HARDY during the natural lives of said SOLOMON, of MARTHA his Wife and ELIZABETH his Daughter, & the survivor of them, & Whereas WILLIAM GRAYSON in his lifetime to wit the (blank) day of November seventeen hundred & seventy by his Indenture of Lease of that date for the consideration therein mentioned did demise grant and to farm let unto BENJAMIN HARDY then of County of Loudoun one parcel of land containing One hundred & Twenty acres situate in County of Loudoun To have & to hold the said land with the appurtenances unto BENJAMIN HARDY during the natural life of said BENJAMIN HARDY, of ANN HARDY his wife and JOHN HARDY his Son & survivor of them, which one hundred & twenty acres of land by several assignments on said Lease came into the possession of above named SOLOMON HARDY who now is & for some years past hath occupied both the tenements above described, & Whereas WILLIAM ELLZEY JUNIOR now at the time of Seating & Delivery of these presents is in fee simple of & in said two parcels of land & intitled to the rents & profits according to the reservations in the recited Leases, Now This Indenture Witnesseth that SOLOMON HARDY for divers good causes him moving & more especially for that the Covenants in said Lease have not been strictly complyed with and for the abatement of two years rent in arrears by these presents cloth surrender & give up unto WILLIAM ELLZEY JUNIOR his heirs all the right & demand of SOLOMON HARDY in the two parcel of land; To have & to hold the two parcels of land unto WILLIAM ELLZEY JR., his heirs for all such interest SOLOMON HARDY hath by virtue of the recited Leases; In Witness whereof SOLOMON HARDY hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day month & year first above written
