Mary Nabbs
(Abt 1620 - )
Notes:
There were several queries about the Bretton father and daughter where it stated that Mary's mother was Mary Tabbs. According to the archives of Georgetown University Mary's mother (William's wife) was Mary Nabbs and her father Thomas Nabbs. If you check the Freeman's register of the Assembly in 1637 you'll see that Thomas Nabbs is mentioned a few times as being present at meetings. This family name is also spelled Nobbs in Skordas, Early Settlers of Maryland p.336, (citing Liber ABH, folio 8). There is another family named Nabbs listed on p.330; William and Wife who came in 1637 and a Mrs. Thomas Nabbs who also came in 1637. George Nabbs came in 1657 while Johana Nabs came in 1678-79.
