Individual Details
Faith Campbell
(Abt 1629 - Bef 1720)
Notes:
Faith Cambell was daughter of John Cam(p)bell of Poplar Hill (will dated 12/6/1694, will probated 11/4/1695 St Mary's County) who named "dau Faith Taylor, wife of Henry Taylor"
It was determined that Faith Campbell married Henry Taylor Sr, rather than Jr. because John Campbell names Henry son-in-law in 1694 and in 1698 Henry Sr. left Henry Jr. property "upon his coming to take possession of it"--therefore we infer that Henry Jr. wasn't there to marry Faith Campbell. Also, in 1718 Henry, Jr. had one son who was under 18, two daughters under 16, with his youngest son about 8 years old. That is a pretty young family for Faith to be the mother.
