Elizabeth McVeigh consort of Jonathan McVeigh departed this life December 14th 1831. She was in good health in the morning and complained none, went out to the porch to wash as usual, was taken suddenly with a Dissiness or blindness, probably a paraletick Stroke,was taken in and laid on the bed and never spoke afterwards, she expired about twenty minutes after 2 the same day without a struggle.She was in her 86th year and I hope a Christian.An exact copy of the entries in the MacVeagh Family Bible which is nowin the possession of Mrs. Ella McVeigh Vann, Raleigh, North Carolina.
