The mother of Rebecca is not quite clear. Richard Kent married a woman Emma who is the mother of at least the youngest two children, but Rebecca stayed in England with her uncle when father went to New England. It has been suggested that Rebecca was the daughter of a first wife thought to be Mary Drew.
