Death
Ellen Jones was one of four children born to Robert Jones and Mary Jane Russell. Ellen was born November 18, 1888 in Laurel County, Kentucky. Ellen Jones married Robert Lankford Jones on May 3, 1903 in Saint Paul, Madison County, Arkansas. They had at least 11 children together: (1) Bertha "Bessie" (Jones) Ridgley, (2) Flora Jones, (3) Floyd S. Jones, (4) Fred E. Jones, (5) Donald G. Jones, (6) Minnie Marie (Jones) Whitehead, (7) Ralph E. Jones, (8) Ruth Maxine (Jones) Hein + Ortwig, (9) Clarence Lavern Jones, (10) Kenneth R. Jones, and (11) Thomas Jones (infant death). Ellen & Robert's first home together was in Saint Paul, Madison County, Arkansas until about 1909 when they moved to Rockford, Gage County, Nebraska. Many other relatives including Ellen's mother, grandmother, and siblings also relocated to the Beatrice, Nebraska area.Endnotes
