Death

Verlin Adus Allman, Sr., 78 of Marshall, VA died July 12, 2009 at the Fauquier Hospital. He was born Dec. 15, 1930 in Blount County, AL a son of the late Dwight L. Moody Allman and Clarice Luvenia Murphree Allman. He was preceded in death by his daughter- Benita Furr and son Dwight Allman. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1952. He retired as a Bridge and Sidewalk Worker for VDOT. He is survived by his wife- Nancy Allman; three children- Naomi Furr, Orlean, VA, Annette Grymes, Warrenton and Verlin Allman, Jr. of Amissville; fourteen grandchildren- Jack Furr, Jr., Shawn and Jeremy Furr, Zach, Steven, Dwight and Elias Allman, Lauren Miller, Anthony, Tabitha, Richard and Matthew Furr, Kathleen and Alexander Grymes; nine great grandchildren- Britny Blackmer, Justin, Morgan, Gabriel, Cory, Aaron, Noah and Avery Furr and Madyson Christie. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8 PM at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, VA where funeral services will be held Monday, July 20 at 11:00 AM. Interment at the Wince Family Cemetery, near Orlean.
