Death

Lucille Figgins Lewis 85, of Front Royal, died Saturday, October 18, 2008, at Lynn Care Center in Front Royal. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, conducted by The Rev. Rick Kerfoot. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal. Mrs. Lewis was born June 27, 1923, in Warren County, daughter of the late Russell and Mozelle Ramey Figgins. She was retired from Avtex. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Bethel. She was married to the late Woodrow Furr and the late Fielding Lewis. She is survived by a son Donald Furr and his wife Greta of Front Royal; a brother Vernon Figgins and his wife Helen of Mt. Crawford; a sister Hazel "Polly" Brown of Front Royal; four grandsons Donnie Furr, Andy Furr, Joey Rhodes, and Kevin Rhodes; four great-grandchildren Jill Sours, Heather Furr, Axl Rhodes, and Kevin Rhodes, II; a great-great-grandchild Brayden Sours; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Larry Thompson, Raymond "Rangie" Figgins, Edwin "Buddy" Henry, Russell Figgins, Dewey Brown, and Larry Figgins. Honorary pallbearers will be Judy Thompson, Sue Leonard, Vivian Estes, Hazel Sisk, Joyce Allison, and Zebbie Boutchyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
