Denise M. (Furr) Bates, age 57, Friday, April 29, 2016, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Graduate of Whitehall Yearling High School class of 1977. Employed at Samuel Strapping Systems, Inc. for 28 years. Member Laura Chapter #264 OES and an avid camper. Survived by husband, Rick Bates; daughters, Ashley (Marcus) Berry, Kali Bates; son, Dallas Bates; grandchildren, Harper and Xander Berry, Cheyanna Gaines; father, Jack Furr; sisters, Cheryl (Allan) Holmes, Michelle (Jeff) Kidwell, Jackie (Bob) McKee; brother, Jack (Allison) Furr II; many loving family and friends. Preceded in death by mother Dorothy Furr. Friends may call Monday 5-8 p.m. EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital.
