Death
Eddie Lee Furr, 70, of Marietta, passed away at his residence on Wednesday (Aug. 20, 2008). He was born in Cedar Creek, W.Va. on Sept. 11, 1937, a son of the late Therman W. and Belle Sholes Furr. Eddie worked for several years for General Distributers and was self employed in the TV satellite business in the Marietta and Williamstown area. He is survived by his brother, Clen H. Furr and his wife, Louise, of Vienna, W.Va.; two nieces; one nephew; and special cousin, June Rose and husband, Jim, of Marietta. In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by a brother James H. Furr and two infant brothers. The funeral service for Mr. Furr will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. William Thomas officiating. Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery.
