Death
Anderson S. Carr, 89, of Charleston, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at Hubbard Hospice House. Anderson was born January 17, 1919, and was a son of the late Minor and Blanche Clowser Carr. His wife, Mary Helen Carr, also preceded him in death. He was retired from B.F. Goodrich and was Navy World War II veteran. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Paul (Garland) Carr of Ohio, Sherry (Danny) Smith of West Virginia, Sharon (David) Johnson, of Ohio, Barbara (Gerald) Poland of Delaware, Becky (Jim) Sabo of North Carolina and Nancy Powell and Jane Powell, both of Charleston. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 22, at Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home with Dr. David Spence officiating. Entombment will be in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.Endnotes
