Death

Mary Ruth Furr, 83, of, Prince Frederick, MD died March 16, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. She was born June 14, 1924 in Bishop, CA to the late Chris and Josie Spratling Phillips. She was the loving wife of the late Charles S. Furr whom she married on May 26, 1954 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Mary is survived by several friends that were dear to her and that she called her family; David, Wendy, Amber and Joshua Flynn of Hollywood, MD; Elsie Flynn of Prince Frederick, MD; and Peggy Distefno of Hughesville, MD. Mary was a nurse’s aide for the majority of her life. She was a very giving, loyal, and funny person. One of her favorite hobbies was driving and sight seeing. Mary will be inurned with her late husband at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at a later date. Arrangements provided by Rausch Funeral Home, P.A., Lusby, MD.
