Death

HARRISONBURG -- Paul Junior Helmick, of 638 E. Wolfe St., died Wednesday (April 20, 2005) at his home. He was born May 23, 1932, at Augusta County, to Ezra Philip and Mary (Marshall) Helmick. He was a retired construction worker. Mr. Helmick was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Lee (Furr) Helmick; and a brother, Marshall Helmick. Survivors include a son, Paul Joseph Helmick; two daughters, Sara Cochran and Connie Strickler of Harrisonburg; two brothers, Russell Helmick of Staunton and Toby Helmick of Stuarts Draft; and two sisters, Joanne Simmons of Brandywine, W.Va., and Betty McCumbers of Ravenna, Ohio. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Henry Funeral Home. Burial will be at Augusta Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family also will receive friends prior to and after the funeral home visitation at 402 E. Washington St.
