Death

Leonard E. Orndoff, 79, of Winchester died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester by the Rev. Dr. Ken H. Smith. Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Mr. Orndoff was born May 4, 1928, in Hayfield, son of Grover D. and Bessie Dyke Orndoff. He was employed by Crown Cork and Seal and Webers Nursery. He was a member of Stone's Chapel Presbyterian Church in Berryville and attended Rosedale Baptist Church. Surviving are three brothers, Edwin P. Orndoff of Winchester, Charles William Orndoff Sr. of Stephenson and Grover Donovan Orndoff Jr. of Stephens City; five sisters, Sylvia Jane Adams of Rippon, W.Va., Frieda May Smallwood of Ranson, W.Va., Esther Pauline Gentry of Apache Junction, Ariz., Mary Lou Jobe of Brucetown and Wilda Jean Furr of Winchester. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
