Death
Mrs. Charlotte Bowers Bradley, 86, a resident of Harrisonburg, died unexpectedly at her home on May 18, 2007. She was born on April 3, 1921, in Harrisonburg, and was the daughter of the late William E. and Hazel B. Long Bowers. Mrs. Bradley was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and had retired from James Madison University, where she was an Administrative Assistant. On Jan. 27, 1951, she married Schuyler Bradley II, who preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 1988. She is survived by a son, Leroy Furr and wife, Marlene, of Honolulu, Hawaii; two grandchildren, Greg Furr and wife, Teresa, Lisa Ceplina and husband, John; three great-grandchildren, Skyler, Makani, and John Robert; one sister, Margaret Kettlewell of Winchester; one brother, John E. Bowers of Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 7:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. The casket will be closed. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, at Woodbine Cemetery with Father Thomas Mattingly officiating.Endnotes
