Death
George E. Hughey, 83, of 9012 Florida Ave., Marmet, died Monday in Memorial Divison, CAMC, after a long illness He was a retired miner and attended Marmet Nazarene Church and Church of God, Chesapeake. He was a member of UMW. Surviving: wife, Lora J. Hughey; sons, Bill and Charles, High Point, N.C., Jimmy of Richmond, Ky.; daughters, Mrs. Nola Davis of Winchester, Va., Mrs. Lois Furr of Glenville; sisters, Helen Hill of Hernshaw, Mrs. Myrtle McCommack Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, with the Rev. Charles Williams, the Rev. Ronald L. Wilfong and the Rev. Winston Hargis officiating. Burial will be in Marmet Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.Endnotes
