Death

DOROTHY "DOTTIE" MARY DUTTON SHUGART, 84, formerly of Ruidoso and and resident of Las Cruces, passed away on October 22 2006 at University Terrace Good Samaritan Village. Dottie was born November 1, 1921 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Joseph S. and Gladys Furr Dutton. Dottie was a member of the Methodist Church most of her life, she lived in El Paso and worked at Catherine's for fourteen years, then she moved to Ruidoso where she worked at Stitch and Stuff for nine years until retirement from retail. She collected lifelong friends wherever she ventured. Mrs. Shugart leaves behind her sons, John "Jack"Shugart of Phoenix, Arizona; two daughters; Joellen Guess and husband George of Tempe, Arizona, Susan Burford and husband Don of Las Cruces; one brother, Joe Dutton and wife Nancy of Columbus, Indiana; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren as well as numerous friends in the Las Cruces, El Paso and Ruidoso area.
